Help shape the future of innovation in Bath!
The University of Bath is exploring the creation of a world-class innovation district in the heart of the city, connecting research excellence with business growth, civic partners and global enterprise. As a strategic priority of the University, the Bath Riverside Innovation District will deliver major Innovation Hubs in the city - ground-breaking facilities that bring students, researchers, companies and the community together.
We are now seeking an exceptional Assistant Director (Innovation District User Experience) to join the Programme Team and lead the ‘intelligent client’ function behind this ambitious transformation.
About the role
In this senior role, you will have strategic authority to translate academic, commercial and civic needs into compelling briefs that shape how our city-centre innovation spaces function, feel and perform.
As the University’s representative, you will bring together stakeholders from industry, government, the community and across campus to create outstanding user and partner experiences. From briefing designers and delivery teams to influencing investors, industry and policymakers, you will ensure our Innovation Hubs are not only functional, but inspiring, future-proof and commercially sustainable.
About you
We are looking for a visionary relationship-builder with a strong track record in innovation districts, incubators or mixed-use research environments - someone who can negotiate confidently, challenge constructively and deliver high-quality technical and strategic outputs.
You’ll be helping to underpin landmark £multi-million investments and shaping a place that reflects Bath’s global ambition.
