About the role

The Skills and Training Manager will create and deliver skills training and events in support of the aims of the Centres/Institutes assigned. This position requires a post-holder who can work flexibly and effectively with a wide range of people.

Subject to additional funding and capacity, this post will support other areas in addition to the IKC. Each Centre/Institute is likely to have a differently configured team, with team members working across multiple projects, therefore it is vital that the role holder is able to be flexible and adaptable.

About you

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate degree in an Engineering or STEM subject or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of delivering a variety of in-person and online/virtual training events.
  • The ability to deal with difficult or urgent situations diplomatically and calmly.
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of evaluating delivered training.
