The Role
This role will provide proactive personal assistance to assigned Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members. The Executive Personal Assistant (EPA) will provide complex diary, travel and event management and meeting organisation to include appropriate preparation of SLT member(s) for meetings and events. This may include research, hospitality bookings, greeting visitors. Email inbox monitoring may be required in liaison with the SLT member(s) as well as processing expenses. The role will Clerk and/or minute meetings as required by the SLT member(s) and Executive Support Manager, which may include paper preparation and distribution and action tracking. The role will proactively manage communication with the key contacts of the SLT member(s) and act as a public face of the Executive Support Office, managing correspondence and queries to ensure a positive impressive of the University.
The Person
The ideal applicant will be educated to A Level or equivalent with relevant professional experience and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of providing executive support to senior staff in a large and complex organisational setting, preferably within the Higher Education sector. You will have a highly developed understanding of the need to maintain required levels of professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role and will have meticulous attention to detail with experience of clerking and or minuting meetings being desirable.
You will need to be highly organised, self-motivated and have a professional approach to your work with the capacity to master new areas of knowledge and skills rapidly and to a high-level of expertise and prioritise between important and urgent tasks to meet deadlines. You will need to be an accomplished communicator and a team player, along with the ability to listen and understand situations and be responsive in working with others towards a common goal.
A high level of proficiency in the use of a wide range of IT packages and MS Office is required.
