We are looking for an individual who wants to further develop their excellence in academic Orthodontics and join us in growing the next generation of dental professionals. You will need strong communication skills and the capability to support our core activities by helping us implement our School education and research strategy. By leading and developing high-quality, research-led teaching in Orthodontics, you will help evolve the School’s postgraduate programme development, ensuring a modern and integrated approach to the teaching of Orthodontics across our suite of postgraduate programmes. You will also contribute to undergraduate dentistry education.
We are looking for someone who can inspire and support staff to develop their leadership potential and their pursuit of excellence in teaching and scholarship or teaching and research activities relating to orthodontics. We will support you to develop your own teaching and scholarship and/or grow your research portfolio aligned to the School's research areas depending on which pathway you pursue (Teaching and Research or Teaching and Scholarship). In turn, you will assist staff in enhancing their leadership capabilities and striving for excellence in teaching and scholarship or teaching and research activities related to orthodontics.
The successful candidate will be awarded an appropriate honorary contract by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
The post holder will be based at the University Dental Hospital, Heath Park Campus, Cardiff.
Appointment is offered at Clinical Senior Lecturer, Reader or Chair level depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications aligning to the relevant benchmarks set by Cardiff University.

You will be able to take advantage of the excellent Consultant contract for Wales. The basic salary range for this post is £110,240 per annum to £160,951 per annum.
