We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
Are you an experienced public affairs professional who can influence policy and shape opinion? Do you want to lead a team that champions the voice of a world-class university and drives engagement with government, policymakers and sector leaders.
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative communications professional to lead Newcastle University's public affairs and policy engagement, while overseeing our wider external communications strategy - including media relations, high-profile campaigns and corporate events. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how one of the UK's leading civic universities is represented on the regional, national and global stage.
For an informal discussion, please contact Jen Middleton, Director of Communications at jen.middleton@newcastle.ac.uk.
