The University of London

The University of London is one of the largest and most diverse higher education institutions in the world. With a mission to transform lives through knowledge, it delivers high quality academic programmes, brings benefits to society through its research in the humanities and social sciences, and leverages intellectual connections through public engagement.

Students who study our online, flexible and distance learning programmes can study independently or, at their own choice, receive academic support for their studies at one of the University of London’s Recognised Teaching Centres. Over half of our students currently choose to benefit from the additional tuition and support provided by a Recognised Teaching Centre in their own country.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join the Quality Team for a period of 12 months. The Quality Team is responsible for the implementation of the University of London’s quality assurance framework. This serves to secure and enhance the quality and standards of programmes leading to the awards of the University of London.

The UoL has a network of over 120 Recognised Teaching Centres in 60 different countries. The Quality Manager (International) plays a key role in the smooth operation of the Teaching Centre Recognition Framework. This includes annual monitoring, review, risk management, policy, governance and committees, and continuous enhancement projects.

The Quality Manager (International) will also coordinate accreditation and regulatory activity on behalf of UoL to ensure compliance with local overseas higher education regulation. The successful applicant will ideally have a good understanding of the concepts of academic quality and standards, particularly in a transnational education context, and their implications, in addition to knowledge of current and developing issues in HE, particularly where these relate to quality assurance.
