The Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science are seeking two enthusiastic and highly organised individuals to work on a two-year research programme on hydration and health. The successful candidates will work alongside Professor Neil Walsh and a Research Officer on an industry-funded research programme extending recently published work. You will be expected to assist in all aspects of the programme of work, including: study design; ethical approval; the day-to-day running and administration of the research project; the implementation of interventions; assisting in the collection and interpretation of data; and the production of technical reports and manuscripts for publication.

You will hold a good honours degree (First or 2.1) in a relevant subject area e.g., nutrition, human physiology, health psychology, exercise science. A masters postgraduate degree is desirable.

Experience of conducting high-quality research is essential, as is experience of biological sample collection (including venous blood collection), handling, storage (in accordance with GLP), biochemical analysis and an awareness of quality control techniques. Some experience of working with sponsors from industry is desirable. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a continuously demanding workload.

Anticipated interview date will be week commencing 26th January 2026. You will be expected to commence the post in March 2026.
