This Senior Management position (Fixed term contract until 31 December 2030) requires a combination of high academic achievement with substantial relevant experience. The position will require significant organisational, leadership and communication skills.
The Faculty of Design, Education and Social Science has students on seven of the nine campuses within ATU and is of strategic importance within ATU and the wider region. The School of Creative Industries, its staff, students and graduates play a significant role in; the economy of the region, engaging with large and small companies, as well as the entrepreneurial/start-up sector; the educational institutions and schools; a wide range of community, social, and other organisations; and international companies, organisations and institutions. The School has the potential to forge significant interdisciplinary linkages within and external to ATU, in terms of innovative teaching and learning opportunities, excellent research and knowledge transfer, and strong external engagement.
The Head of School of Creative Industries will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and continued development of the School, with a strong commitment to excellence. Particular emphasis will be placed on inter-disciplinary programmes, university-industry linkages, international activities, and flexible modes of delivery.
