The role
Overall responsibility for daily operations at Surrey Sports Park, ensuring excellent customer service, safe practices, and efficient staffing. Manage Duty Managers and front-line teams to maintain high standards, support programmes and events, and uphold health and safety compliance. Drive staff development, operational efficiency, and achievement of KPIs and budgets while promoting a positive guest experience.
The post holder will work closely with the Sports & Fitness Programs, Client Services, Front of House, and Events teams. This will include regular reports and updates for internal colleagues and will be responsible for ensuring consistent internal communication within the department.
About you
The post holder works with minimal supervision under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, reporting regularly. They manage workload, prioritise operational needs, and meet deadlines while supporting organisational goals. The role focuses on operational excellence, cross-department collaboration, and continuous improvement in systems, processes, and customer service. They ensure the Operations Team follows agreed processes and policies set by the Facilities Manager.
The role involves full responsibility for day-to-day management of the operations team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and development. The post holder ensures staff deliver excellent service and may be required to provide building cover shifts.
