We wish to recruit a Clinical Senior Lecturer with an established research reputation and the potential to become a future leader in maternal and perinatal health research. They will be ready to play a key role in implementing the Women’s Health research agenda at the University of Liverpool. This is a Senior Clinical Lecturer post based within the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, with a 50:50 split between research and clinical activity, respectively. The Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust (LWFT) is the clinical partner for this position.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally competitive programme of research in the broad area of maternal and perinatal health. They will be expected to collaborate with the wider research team in the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health and wider university alongside key partners and funders such as the National Institute for Health Research, the Medical Research Council, and other national initiatives. They will also be encouraged and supported to develop their own independent collaborations both nationally and internationally. They should uphold the aims of the National Institute for Health Research to translate research into benefit for patients and to drive innovation in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of maternal health complications both within the Merseyside region, nationally and globally.
