Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Modern Irish within UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore.

University College Dublin invites applications for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Modern Irish in the School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore. This is a permanent position (above-the-bar).

The successful candidate will have a record of high-quality research and teaching in the field of Modern Irish. Applications from those with a specialisation in Early Modern Irish literature will be particularly welcome.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a range of modules in his/her own field for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the School; take a significant active role in the teaching of the Irish language at all levels of the Modern Irish programme; and actively contribute to programmes and modules in other subjects taught through the medium of English in the School, namely Folklore, Celtic Studies and Irish Studies.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor (7943) Salary Scale: €64,753 - €102,539 per annum.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
