We are seeking a Careers Adviser to join our Careers and Employability Service within Student Services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking team that delivers high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) to a diverse student population.

About the Role

As a Careers Adviser, you will:

- Deliver one-to-one careers guidance and short advice appointments.
- Design and facilitate workshops, clinics, and central events on career-related themes.
- Create and curate engaging careers resources.
- Use data to inform service delivery and demonstrate impact.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with digital platforms and social media to enhance student engagement.
- Contribute to cross-service initiatives and professional development through AGCAS.

This is a student-facing role requiring a proactive, empathetic, and collaborative approach.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is educated to degree level or has equivalent experience involving critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Has experience in delivering careers guidance and workshops in educational settings.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.
- Is confident using digital tools and social media.
- Is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

A professional qualification in Careers Guidance (e.g. DipCG, QCG) is desirable but not essential.
