Mumbai Campus
The University of Aberdeen invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Accountancy and Finance at its new Mumbai Campus, launching August 2026. This early- to mid-career role combines teaching, research, and academic contribution, supporting the delivery of high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business Management.
Reporting to the Academic Provost, the successful candidate will design, deliver, and manage courses in accounting, finance, and economics, integrating research-informed and industry-aligned practices. Responsibilities include supervising student projects and dissertations, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly research with potential for publications and external funding. The role also involves mentoring students, participating in departmental committees, and supporting programme quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline, with up to 12 years of academic experience demonstrating teaching excellence, curriculum development, and engagement with pedagogical innovation. Strong communication skills, the ability to mentor students, and a commitment to research-informed teaching are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the launch of a globally connected campus, shaping the student experience and academic culture while building research and teaching expertise in an international context.
