The University of Aberdeen seeks to appoint an outstanding senior leader as Vice-Principal (Global Engagement & Partnerships). This is a pivotal role within the University’s Senior Management Team, reporting to the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, and will shape and deliver the institution’s global strategy in support of our Aberdeen 2040 vision.
The Vice-Principal (Global Engagement & Partnerships) will lead the development and implementation of the University’s Global Strategy, strengthening and governing strategic international partnerships, expanding Transnational Education (TNE), and enhancing global student recruitment, reputation and income generation. The role includes oversight of established and emerging international partnerships, strategic market development, and representation of the University at the highest levels nationally and internationally. The postholder will work closely with fellow Vice-Principals, Deans and professional services colleagues to ensure that global engagement activity supports research excellence, educational quality, innovation and sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will bring substantial senior leadership experience in higher education or an equivalent international environment, a proven track record in developing and sustaining international partnerships and TNE activity, and a strong understanding of global higher education markets and policy contexts.
Salary will be in the range of £130,000–£150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

This role is based in the UK. The successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK and will be expected to be based in the North East of Scotland and spend a minimum of four days per week on campus, reflecting the seniority and importance of the role.
