The School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics at Oxford Brookes University provides an intellectually stimulating, friendly and supportive environment in which to work and study. The School has been delivering consistent growth in student numbers over many years, attributed to a highly reputable teaching portfolio and graduate employability. Thus, we are looking for inspirational and talented colleagues to join us.
Our success and student experience have been recently enhanced by the move to the Headington Hill campus in the heart of Oxford, featuring a new teaching building and a new industry-standard workshop.
This purpose-built workshop houses a fully equipped new dyno suite containing two electric dynos, complemented by an adjacent High-Voltage laboratory, equipped for testing battery pouches and full battery packs.
The teaching building offers laboratories for Electronics, Robotics (two ABB robots), GANT computer-integrated manufacturing demonstrator, dynamics & vibration laboratory and more. We also have a state-of-the-art virtual reality Multiview Cave, 350+ computers and a high-power computing suite to support modelling and simulation and more. Both the teaching and the workshop building also house an enviable range of recent and historic race vehicles.
The School is also the home to the most successful UK Formula Student team Oxford Brookes Racing, who have enviable dedicated design and manufacture spaces, to design and build an advanced electric racing vehicle.
