We seek applicants who will support us in our ambitions in inclusivity and diversity.

As we continue to grow and strengthen our department, we are seeking to make two lecturer appointments in the areas of Agents & Multi-Agent Systems. We welcome applications from candidates who have an international profile in research in any of the following areas:

  • distributed artificial intelligence, coordination & negotiation, game theory & mechanism design, multi-agent learning and reinforcement learning, agent-based modelling and simulation, autonomous decision-making, communication protocols, and applications in robotics, smart grids, and social networks.

We consider computer science challenges from a broad perspective. Members of the department regularly publish in and sit on the program committees of top-tier and well-known venues in computer science and software engineering. Top-quality research establishes members of the Department as leaders in their fields. It is the research transformative aspect that provides the opportunity to serve society while supporting King’s as an outstanding institution in science and technology. The Department has strong links with industry, who engage with us in collaborative research projects

We offer undergraduate and postgraduate education (in both computer science and artificial intelligence) catering for the needs of our students and the organisations in which they will work.  It is essential that applicants have the enthusiasm and commitment needed to ensure the success of these programmes. The successful applicant for this post will be involved in delivering teaching in a core area of computer science.

The successful candidate will be appointed to research group and will have the opportunity to contribute to cross-cutting hubs (see https://www.kcl.ac.uk/informatics/research/groups).
