What we’re looking for:

You’ll bring a strong foundation in paramedic practice, together with a genuine passion for supporting and inspiring the next generation of professionals through excellent teaching and academic scholarship.

We are particularly interested in applicants who:

  • Have a broad range of clinical experience in paramedic practice, urgent and emergency care, critical care or related healthcare settings.
  • Are passionate about student learning and development, with an ability to inspire, support, and challenge learners.
  • Hold (or are working towards) a Master’s degree, or can demonstrate postgraduate study and a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Have experience of teaching, supervising, or mentoring others in academic or practice-based settings.
  • Are HCPC-registered as a Paramedic and able to role-model professional standards and values.
  • Can contribute to curriculum innovation, ensuring teaching reflects current evidence, policy, and professional practice.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse academic team.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across our undergraduate programmes.
  • Lead modules and supervise undergraduate research dissertations.
  • Act as a personal tutor and provide academic and pastoral support to students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure alignment with current professional and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in research, scholarship, or knowledge exchange, depending on your profile.

This is a full-time, permanent post.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.

This role is campus based for all of your time, although there may be the opportunity to work from home occasionally.
