The Research & Enterprise team at Leeds Beckett University are looking for some additional support. Could you be the person we need?
About the role
This is a new role. You’ll be based in the friendly, supportive and high-performing Funding Support Team but you’ll work with colleagues from across the service.
We are looking for someone who is organised, systematic and adaptable. There will be core activity throughout the year for reporting, data analysis and systems support but there’ll be ad-hoc activities and work that support colleagues to improve processes and systems as well as operational activities and requests.
The role requires a detail-orientated person who is confident with data and working across a variety of systems and packages but we need someone comfortable liaising with colleagues, excited about getting involved in new initiatives and creating networks with colleagues in other services e.g. IT.
Key responsibilities:
About you
This opportunity would be perfect for someone who enjoys a varied workload – you need to be happy to get stuck into detailed data analysis and tasks but welcome the opportunity to work with colleagues to find a solution to a challenge or improve a process.
You will need to be highly organised with outstanding attention to detail, confident in manipulating and analysing data. We want someone who’s curious about new knowledge and initiatives and happy to trial them and bring them back to the wider service.
It would be an advantage if you have worked in higher education before, or a similar large organisation where you were able to follow complex processes and understand the needs of the wider organisation.
Why Join Us:
The Funding Support Team are a friendly, supportive and high performing team. You will get the opportunity to influence and challenge processes, with plentiful opportunity for development and skills growth. From a wider perspective, Leeds Beckett University is committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment where staff can thrive and contribute to the institution's mission of providing high-quality education and research. The university offers competitive benefits, and a supportive work culture that values diversity and innovation.
