About the team and the role
The Placement and Interns Team is a newly formed team, representing a significant investment in the growth of placements and internships at UoSiL. The Placement and Intern Programme Manager plays a key role in delivering high-quality student placements and graduate internship programmes. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of placement activity, including clinical placements, ensuring students and graduates are well supported and achieve strong employability outcomes.
You will manage a small specialist team, develop employer partnerships across a range of sectors, and use insight and data to continuously enhance programme quality and impact. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery and has a strong student-facing focus.
What you'll need to suceed
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, with a strong background in employability, recruitment, HR, careers, or a related field. You will have proven experience delivering placement, internship, or work-experience programmes from design through to evaluation, alongside experience of leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and confident working at pace while managing competing priorities. A data-informed, student-centred approach and a commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience are essential. Experience within Higher Education is desirable but not essential.
