The IQS School of Management (University Ramon Lull) is seeking to appoint a University Associate / Assistant Professorship in International Business from 1 Sep 2026.

The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant, collaborative and friendly environment within one of the most traditional research centres in Barcelona. Our School belongs to the selected group of AACSB accredited business schools in Spain.

We encourage applications from all areas of international business, broadly defined. Research themes that are of particular interest are, in no particular order:

  • Geopolitics and processes of economic integration
  • Logistics and international transport
  • Global talent management
  • Sustainable development
  • International trade
  • International development.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Requirements

The selection process will take into account the candidate’s fulfilment of the following criteria:

  • A doctorate in a relevant aspect of international business or cognate fields
  • Evidence of high-quality publications
  • Evidence of ability to engage in international collaborations commensurate with career stage
  • Evidence of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
  • Experience of teaching at university level is desirable

  • A curriculum vitae, including a full list of publications
  • An outline of current and future research plans
  • One sample of major work (e.g., a published article, job market paper, or high-quality working paper)
  • Two academic reference letters
