Fully Funded PhD Studentship at The School of Physical Sciences, STEM Faculty

Salary: £20,780 stipend (2025/26 rate) per annum (plus additional financial support to cover training and development opportunities).
Location: Open University Campus, Milton Keynes
This full-time PhD project is available through an Open University/Teledyne e2v collaboration agreement and the European Space Agency OSIP PhD Studentship scheme. The project will commence on 1st October 2026. Funding: This studentship is fully funded for 3 years and 3 months, with the possibility of an additional 3-month extension. It attracts a stipend of £20,780 per year (2025/26 rate) and also covers the home-student university fees. Funding for training and development opportunities is also provided. To be eligible for funding, applicants must meet the UKRI academic requirements. We normally require candidates to have at least a 2:1 at UK B.Sc. or M.Sc. level.
