The Department of Public Health and Primary Care in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to provide operational leadership and management of the MPhil in Population Health Sciences course, and other associated educational activities. This modular programme is an educational partnership between three departments of the Clinical School (Department of Public Health and Primary Care, MRC Epidemiology Unit and the MRC Biostatistics Unit) and has an intake of over 72 students per academic year.

The post holder will work closely with the Academic Director, Senior Teaching Associate, and wider academic team to support the academic and pedagogical aspects of the course, ensuring that the operational function aligns with the educational demands and strategy.

They will be responsible for annual course planning and ensuring that all operational and administrative aspects of the course are delivered in a timely, efficient manner and to exceptional standards. They will also manage, support and lead our friendly and efficient administrative team.

Responsible for managing the budget and financial reporting to the partnership, they will work with the Academic Director and the PHPC Business and Operations team to ensure that the MPhil and associated educational activities are financially and operationally sustainable.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience. Knowledge of the Higher Education sector and ability to understand educational strategy would be advantageous.

Funding for this post is available until 30 September 2027.
