An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Technical Tutor in Computer Games Design to join our dedicated technical team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with C++, C#, and version control systems such as Git Azure or Plastic. A strong background with Adobe applications, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the Substance Suite is essential, alongside proficiency with VR/AR hardware and software, and digital sculpting tools.
You will be confident in demonstrating game development software to learners with a wide range of abilities and possess an in-depth understanding of the digital tools and workflows used throughout the production of student projects.
In this role, you will guide, support, and advise students in the use of computer games design software and interactive 3D environments, using tools such as Maya, Unity, and Unreal. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will induct students—through practical demonstrations—into the safe and responsible use of the workspace and any associated equipment or machinery.
You will also support the care and maintenance of equipment, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld within your area of responsibility. Excellent communication skills, effective teamwork, and the ability to interact with students and staff in a professional and considerate manner are essential. The capacity to work efficiently under pressure is also a key requirement.
