Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership – National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcome Programme (NCAPOP) Team

Details: Permanent; full time 37.5 hours per week position. Working remotely/from home. 

HQIP (Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcome Programme (NCAPOP) team.

HQIP commissions and manages national programmes including clinical audits and outcome reviews, to drive improvements in clinical care across the NHS. The NCAPOP is at the heart of this work, delivering high-impact audits that measure and enhance the quality of healthcare services. NCAPOP supports clinicians, healthcare providers, and policymakers in making informed decisions that lead to better outcomes for patients. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a team that directly contributes to improving patient safety, care standards, and overall healthcare quality across England and Wales.

The post-holder will provide proactive project management input across multiple projects within the programme. The Project Manager will ensure that the commissioning and contract management run smoothly. The role is varied and requires the successful candidate to undertake a range of duties to support:

  • commissioning of new and existing audits and outcome review programmes
  • contract management of providers to deliver these activities
  • development of internal systems and processes to support programme-wide activities including reporting, guidance and policies
  • management of the standard reporting procedure leading up to publication of outputs
  • stakeholder engagement
  • the smooth running of projects and act as a key liaison point for each provider throughout the duration of their contract. 

To be considered for this role, you must have at least six-months of hands-on proven project management experience with well-developed and demonstrable planning and organisational skills.
