About us
UCL Careers provides careers education to current students, graduates and research staff of UCL, as well as recruitment solutions for employers. UCL Careers sits within the UCL Higher Education Development & Support Institute (HEDS) which brings together teaching, assessment and employability to support student futures.
Our University has a highly diverse student cohort, with approximately 52% of our students coming from overseas. Many of them seek global opportunities when they graduate from UCL, either in their home country or elsewhere.
About the role
In this newly created job, you’ll be responsible for developing UCL’s international Careers provision, with the ultimate aim of enhancing the careers prospects of our students that wish to work overseas. You’ll strategically develop the service through international partnerships and other appropriate platforms. You’ll also directly support our students who require careers education focused on global opportunities, working with them individually and in groups, and also facilitating events.
You’ll also be responsible for growing and leading a small team of careers professionals who will work within the global careers remit. You and your team will work proactively with employers, partners and trusted data sources to gain labour market and recruitment practice intelligence within UCL’s key regions, for use in the development of UCL’s international Careers programme. Together you’ll develop new international relationships in regions and sectors that support the career aspirations of UCL’s student body.
