Currently, we are accepting applications for a temporary post of Lecturer in Computer Science, which will support the academic delivery of our MSc Computing Trimester 3 intake, on a full-time basis for a period of 5 months.

The Role:

As Lecturer in Computer Science, you will be in an excellent position to use your knowledge and understanding of topics such as web development, project management and business analysis, to provide teaching cover for the delivery of modules on our MSc Computing programme.

You will also be given the remit to undertake the assessment of these students, using assessment instruments provided, and under the guidance of experienced staff, work collegiately to help deliver an excellent learning and teaching experience for all involved.

You will be mentored and guided by Edinburgh Napier staff in the delivery of modules, using pre-existing course delivery plans and materials. This will give you the opportunity to work closely with module and programme teams and team leaders, allowing you to work to high standards and potentially make suggestions based on your own skills and experience to enhance the curriculum.

The position may be particularly suitable for you if you are an early career or established academic, looking for flexible lecturing opportunities.
