Ravensbourne University London is a dynamic institution at the intersection of creativity, business, and technology. Based in London’s Design District in the heart of North Greenwich, we are home to a diverse, global community in one of the world’s most vibrant business and creative hubs.
Over the past five years, we have undergone substantial transformation. We have doubled in size, forged new partnerships, and attracted students from across the world as well as from our neighbouring communities in London. Today, Ravensbourne stands on a foundation of financial stability and renewed strength.
Looking ahead, we are committed to further growth: expanding our courses, extending our reach, and building a leading university at the intersection of creativity, technology and business. We aim to equip all our learners with the skills and opportunities needed for outstanding careers in digital media, design, business and technology. Our portfolio spans television, film and broadcasting, product and graphic design, architecture, fashion, business, marketing and computing.
This is a period of positive change and opportunity, and we are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Vice Chancellor who will provide strategic leadership across academic, research and knowledge-exchange activities, ensuring that Ravensbourne remains agile, innovative and deeply connected to industry.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the DVC will contribute to the strategic and operational direction of the University, advancing knowledge exchange, growing research income, and strengthening high-quality franchise and transnational education partnerships. Through visionary leadership and strong external engagement, they will enhance our global profile and secure outstanding outcomes in learning, teaching, employability and enterprise. As an advocate for inclusivity, they will foster a culture that empowers everyone to challenge themselves, and each other, to be the very best they can be.
Strong candidates will have a proven record of strategic, future-focused leadership, with the ability to design and deliver academic strategies aligned to institutional priorities while building high-performing, inclusive teams. They will be an effective external ambassador, adept at forging national and international partnerships, generating income, and enhancing global reputation. They will also excel at integrating academic, research, commercial and international activities to ensure coherent operations, excellent student experiences, and sustainable growth.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities, and in particular those that are currently under-represented in our workforce. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates, candidates with disabilities, and female candidates.
At Ravensbourne, we are committed to supporting applicants with disabilities. We offer interviews to those who declare a disability and meet the essential criteria for the role. In situations where we receive a high volume of applications, we will prioritise interviewing those disabled applicants who most closely align with the minimum requirements.
