About Us

Set within the historic “city of dreaming spires,” the University of Oxford has been ranked the world’s leading university for nine consecutive years. Oxford combines centuries of academic tradition with world-changing innovation, offering staff the opportunity to contribute to pioneering research and outstanding education in a supportive and inspiring environment. The University is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and actively promotes staff wellbeing, development, and career progression.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a hub for educational enhancement at Oxford, bringing together expertise in teaching, learning, assessment, and digital education. We work in close partnership with departments, faculties, and students to support Oxford’s distinctive, personalised approach to teaching. CTL promotes flexible and inclusive educational practices, leads initiatives to address inequalities in participation and attainment, and helps shape an integrated digital learning environment that supports both students and staff. We also provide professional development opportunities, networks, and platforms to share excellent and innovative teaching practice across the University.

About the Role

As a Digital Education Support Assistant, you will support services and projects across the Digital Education Group within CTL. Working closely with colleagues, you will help deliver frontline support through the service desk by triaging queries, providing basic advice, and signposting users to appropriate solutions. You will also support data administration and course-building activities, assisting staff across the University with digital learning tools.

You will work with the Digital Education Coordinator and the wider team to collect and manage information that helps ensure CTL delivers its commitments effectively. There will be opportunities to contribute to centrally delivered activities such as training sessions, user guidance, and user groups, enabling you to develop your skills and progress a career in learning technology.
