Cambridge University Mental Health Advice Service is seeking to recruit a Mental Health Adviser to support students with complex or enduring mental health problems and help them access the specialist services they need. This position is a 0.83 FTE, with the working pattern being five days per week for ten weeks during term time. Working days outside of term can be negotiated. You will work closely with staff in the Colleges, wider University and Student Support Department, as well as with Cambridge & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, to deliver and enhance mental health support to students of the university. You will also be responsible for assessing students' fitness to study when emotional or mental health problems are affecting their academic progress.
This is a significant position in busy and well-respected multi-disciplinary service.
You will be professionally qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Social Worker or Psychologist, and have significant relevant work experience.
We are currently working in a hybrid model. You will need to take this into consideration as you do need to be able to work in a secure environment whereby all information will be managed in a confidential manner at all times.)
