The Learning Enhancement and Academic Development Centre (LEAD) at Queen Margaret University is
seeking an experienced and student-focused Effective Learning Advisor to join our Effective Learning
Service (ELS). This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to student success and contribute to
the delivery of the University’s Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy.
In this role, you will provide academic skills development to students through workshops, one-to-one sessions, and digital resources. You will collaborate with academic and professional colleagues to design and deliver tailored support for programmes, contribute to transition and induction activities, and help advance widening participation and retention initiatives. You will also play a key role in developing guides and resources, maintaining service records, and evaluating impact to ensure continuous improvement.
