Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Main duties and responsibilities
You will be required to provide high quality teaching and research on the work-based, work-aligned, and employability focussed programmes. You will undertake supervision of learner projects, portfolios, dissertations, and thesis as appropriate, including supervision of external assessments and professional recognition requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to administration and programme development and management, including regulatory requirements and inspection, as appropriate. You will inform curriculum development within the Programmes, including the revision of existing modules and contribute to the introduction of new modules and the introduction of new or revised teaching and/or assessment methods and marketing materials related to the programmes.
For appointments as a Senior Lecturer, you will facilitate and advise on the work of others through School administrative roles, such as Programme Leader or admissions interviewer/reviewer, disseminate conceptual and complex ideas to a wide variety of audiences using appropriate media and methods to promote understanding and provide advice on strategic issues such as the balance of student recruitment, staff appointments and student and other performance matters. You will also engage with the School’s business development activities and participate in the School’s external interface with business, charitable and public service organisations.
Skills and experience required
You will possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established teaching programmes. The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team is essential as is excellent IT, planning and organisational skills. You will have the ability to deal with conflicting demands and priorities, and have the ability to communicate effectively, clearly and supportively with both students and academic colleagues.
You will have an appreciation of the educational needs of students and an understanding of students’ prior learning experiences and how these might influence their current educational expectations. Proficiency in English Language, a commitment to reflective practice and continual improvement as well as a commitment to issues related to equality, diversity and inclusion are essential.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a Degree or equivalent level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
For appointments as a Senior Lecturer, you will be educated with a Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline and hold a Postgraduate qualification, i.e. Masters and/or PhD, (completed or close to completion) in a relevant field or equivalent, or significant experience.
