Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a crucial role within the Student Information and Planning team by assisting with the mapping of business processes, managing upgrades and implementing new functionality on the Quercus student record system.
They will conduct testing of technical product developments, manage all aspects of the testing life cycle, including upgrades and new product development and support defect root cause analysis and resolution, problem analysis and identifying action.
Finally, they will be required to understand testing and documenting database structures that will support analytical work, report writing and systems development.
Skills and experience required
You will have advanced ability in the use of Excel & SQL & technical competency in at least 2 or more of: of PL SQL, XML, Oracle BI suite, Tableau, Alteryx, Access, systems/process analysis, technical/process documentation with specialist skills in 1 or more of these areas.
You will have experience in producing analytical business information for a range of users, including senior management and an understanding of database theory and practice, including ability to manipulate small and large datasets.
Finally, you have an advanced level of familiarity with, and the ability to use, data from the SRS. Including: Advanced knowledge of functionality, advanced knowledge of where student data is held, detailed understanding of how to extract student data.
Qualifications required
You will hold the minimum of a Degree (or equivalent) level qualification or have relevant professional experience and proven IT experience at an appropriate level.
