The Opportunity
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead a critical function within DCG, directly influencing organisational resilience and security. As the strategic lead for business continuity and physical security, the postholder will have the chance to design and implement frameworks that safeguard students, staff, and assets, ensuring operational stability during unforeseen events. Working collaboratively across departments and with external partners, they will drive innovation in risk management and emergency preparedness, positioning DCG as a benchmark for compliance and best practice. About You
You are a confident and strategic leader with proven experience in business continuity, security management, and emergency planning. Skilled in making critical decisions under pressure, you combine excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with an analytical mindset to deliver innovative solutions. Your ability to plan, review, and implement robust frameworks ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as Martyn’s Law, Prevent Duty, and the Civil Contingencies Act. With a track record of managing risk assessments, continuity planning, and emergency exercises, you bring expertise in technology systems and infrastructure, alongside strong IT literacy. Ideally, you hold relevant qualifications or certifications and demonstrate a commitment to professional standards, ensuring DCG remains resilient and secure across all sites.
