We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Manager to lead the development, integration and ongoing improvement of the University’s business systems, while providing effective leadership and direction to the Business Systems Team, within the Corporate Information Systems team.
You will have a degree in Computing or an IT-related field, or possess equivalent professional experience and a Level 3 qualification or higher. ITIL Foundation certification and Chartered Management Institute membership are desirable or should be achieved within 12 months of employment. A commitment to continued professional development is essential.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience across the full project lifecycle and a strong record of managing and guiding technical teams, as well as leading large, strategic IT initiatives. You will have experience working in a large and complex IT environment. Knowledge of business systems used in higher education, such as SITS or Unit4 Business World/Cloud ERP, is highly advantageous.
A solid understanding of systems integration, data standards, Microsoft Azure architecture and service delivery frameworks is required. Familiarity with recognised project methodologies, including Prince2, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD and DevOps, is expected.
This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a professional, adaptable approach to work.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).

We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
