About us
The University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) delivers high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. PACE aims to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.
Our activities primarily take place at Madingley Hall (a residential Grade I listed building), which provides facilities for conferences and events, and a full hotel service. Madingley Hall has 13 meeting rooms, 62 ensuite bedrooms, a bar and lounge, set in 8 acres of grounds (including Capability Brown designed gardens).
The Role
We wish to appoint a full-time Academic Centre Administrator on a permanent basis to work within our Academic Centres Division, supporting the Heads of Academic Centre Administration, Academic Centre Coordinators, Academic Staff, students and applicants. The Academic Centre Administrator provides effective administration of the course portfolio for the relevant Centre.
Your skills
You will have excellent organisational, IT and interpersonal skills with an innovative approach to developing and improving processes and delivery. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential.
Some flexibility in working hours will be required during peak times (e.g. during residential teaching weeks, key assessment periods, PACE Welcome Events, Award Ceremonies or for key meetings).
