The Head of Student Data & Systems is a strategic leader responsible for shaping a robust, future‑focused student information services that deliver outstanding experiences for students and staff. As the University’s expert on student data, systems, and associated business processes, you will maximise the value of our student information system—strengthening data integrity, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring our platforms support seamless academic and administrative workflows.
Working closely with Digital IT and key change partners, you will lead major transformation initiatives, including the implementation of a new Student Information System, to enhance customer experience, drive efficiency and realise measurable benefits and impact across the University.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a systems leader who can bring together people, processes, and technology to deliver a high performing, customer- focused service.

The Academic Registry delivers key services that support applicants, students, and staff across the University of Salford, managing essential academic processes such as student records, admissions, timetabling, data quality, and academic policy. The Registry aims to deliver a seamless, student-centred service that operates effortlessly in the background, allowing students and staff to focus on what truly matters.
The Student Data & Systems Team maintains accurate, high‑quality and reliable student data, and manages student information systems configuration, upgrades, and testing. The team proactively drives system enhancements, process improvements and initiatives to improve data quality.
