Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. Our excellence was recognised by the 2025 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked as the global No. 1 institution for both Music and Performing Arts. The College has held this world-leading place in Performing Arts for four successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the rankings in 2024.
At the RCM, we champion excellence in music education, innovation, and research. We nurture gifted students from all backgrounds, empowering them to thrive and make a lasting contribution to the global musical landscape. As a Development and Alumni Engagement team, it is our privilege to provide our expertise and support this mission. We are proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with our supporters and of the success we’ve achieved together.
As Philanthropy Manager (Legacies & Individual Giving) you will be responsible for developing and implementing a refreshed legacy giving strategy for the RCM and fostering a culture of legacy giving at the College. You will have responsibility for delivering activity aimed at cultivating, recruiting and stewarding legacy supporters and maximising lifetime giving in line with annual targets. Alongside managing an individual portfolio, you will oversee campaign activity that cultivates lifetime giving with individual donors at all levels using annual appeals, such as our Big Give Christmas Challenge, and major gift opportunities to deepen engagement with supporters and legacy pledgers.
This is an exciting time to be joining RCM, and we are excited to share this opportunity to join our team and make a real contribution to the future of music.
