An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Advice Caseworker to join a dynamic and growing Students’ Union team in London, which is a critical part of our Students’ Union Operations, based at our branch campus in Canary Wharf, London. This is a new role based in London, and a great opportunity to develop a new service available to our students in London.
Our advice service delivers free and independent advice to students studying at The University of Sunderland and the University of Sunderland in London and supports students with a range of procedures including but not limited to academic misconduct, complaints, appeals and disciplinaries for students.
You’ll use your experience to help us do more preventive work to help our students to take action on their own behalf. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the other Advice Caseworker and the Manager of the Service to help shape and influence the future of the department moving forwards.
It is an exciting time to join us! We have recently completed a Democracy and Governance Review to revitalise how the Students’ Union engages with our members across both Sunderland and London and are developing our new strategic plan to guide our direction over the coming years.
Informal conversations regarding the post are encouraged with our Operations and HR Manager, Louise Dixon, ahead of application. Please email Louise at louise.a.dixon@sunderland.ac.uk to arrange an informal and confidential meeting.
The post holder will need to demonstrate the essential criteria from the JD/Person specification within their application statement.
