The ‘Antibiotics for Global Health’ research group has a longstanding track record of research excellence in the discovery, development and deployment of antibiotics to improve global health.
The Wellcome Trust, Medical Research Council and Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership (GARDP) have recently made significant investments in our programmes including new approaches to optimise antifungal combinations to research programmes to address the global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
We are looking for a Grade 7 PDRA in molecular biology who will join an established group of researchers focussed on the mechanisms of antimicrobial drug resistance in bacteria and fungi.
You will help map the pathways to development of AMR and design mitigating strategies.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis until March 2031.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
