Applications are invited for a position of Research Laboratory Technician available from 1 February 2026 or as soon as possible after this date.
The project led by Professor Schwaeble is mainly focus on the exploring the effect of complement deficiency in increasing the risk of microbial infection using either gene targeted mice deficient in one or more of complement recognition molecules or enzymes or using therapeutic inhibitors that deplete or inactivate specific components of the complement system. The program will also include the development of new technology that will help in fighting aginst infection caused by highly pathogenic mico-organisms.
Applicants for this role should have laboratory experience in microbiology and molecular biology as well as different assays involved in evaluation of complement system. The successful applicant will have familiarity with compiling and maintaining laboratory safety documentation.
