Learning Experiences & Innovation (LXI) is the ‘go-to’ service across the Exeter learning community in empowering our students, academics, staff and partners to co-create a distinctive learning experience where every learner thrives. LXI consists of seven main units; Academic Development, Student Voice & Change, Learning Development, Learning Design, Experimentation & Innovation; Programme Design & Quality Enhancement, and Educational Policy, Quality & Standards. The teams work alongside and in support of several portfolios focussed on the University’s key strategic aims and its Faculties priorities.
LXI is part of the Education and Academic Services (EAS) Division. EAS brings together all the key administration and educational support that underpins the student and educator experience. Alongside TQAE this includes Faculty Operations, Sport, Arts and Culture and all elements of Education and Student Support.
Main purpose of the job:
We are looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to undertake the development and creation of blended and online learning content. This full-time permanent post is available immediately within the Learning Development team. The postholder will support the development of a range of blended and online degrees and short courses. With a keen eye for detail, you will support the build and quality assurance of the online courses, working alongside colleagues to incorporate graphics, animations and video content, as wells as activities and assessments within the core virtual learning environment.
This post will work as a member of the Learning Development team working alongside colleagues to design, build and support several online programmes across the University. The postholder will use the core virtual learning environment (Moodle) to transform the designed curriculum into exciting and engaging online courses. As part of the Universities 2030 strategy several ambitious targets have been set to launch new fully online programmes. This post is a key part of this work, bringing the courses to life online within the virtual learning environment.
