Lecturer Supply - Forestry

‘As and when’ required,

Salary from £41,833 - £50,359 pro-rata (per annum)

We are seeking a candidate for a position as supply lecturer in the Land and Science team, to work alongside academic colleagues as part of the delivery of our Forestry courses.  You will be based at the Scottish School of Forestry in Balloch, Inverness. 

This roles presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys teaching and learning to join an experienced and diverse team. You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on best practice in the teaching of topics relevant to your role. You will be required to be an effective team member able to deliver a high quality curriculum and educational experience

In particular we are looking for candidates who have experience of working in Forestry and/or related industries who can help train our students in the use of vehicles, e.g. Tractors and ATVs. We are also looking for a candidate who can support other practical skills such as fencing, tool maintenance, harvesting and similar rural activities. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome.
