The Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies is seeking an enthusiastic and versatile person with strong outreach and communication skills to join our team in this fixed term, full-time role.
As Outreach Administrator, you will work with colleagues across the Faculty, providing support for internal and external communications activity aimed at prospective students as well as teachers, schools, and the wider public. The postholder acts as Webmaster for the Faculty webpages, updating and maintaining the site in line with Faculty and University requirements and analysing its use by those who visit it; develops social media activity on different platforms, supporting colleagues to contribute as appropriate; produces and edits high-quality videos as appropriate; and supports communications-related projects.
Your role also involves working with Academic Outreach leads to support the successful delivery of Open Days and outreach events, helping to design detailed information leaflets and material; liaising with the Cambridge Admissions Office, other Faculties, and College SLOs to promote them, being present at all outreach events; managing data retention, evaluation and feedback for statistical purposes.
Working with colleagues, you will help maintain a strong and positive profile amongst our stakeholders. Managed and supported by Faculty Manager and Co-Chairs of the Faculty and embedded as a member of the team responsible for the administration of the Faculty, you will be the key contact for all matters relating to outreach and communications.
You will be a well-organised and adaptable self-starter with excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and with experience of creating digital content, including videos. You should have some experience in digital communications, and will be skilled at working with web content management systems. You will be confident in managing competing priorities and able to move between tasks at short notice to meet deadlines. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues, documenting processes, sharing good practice and facilitating continuous improvement.
