Flexible Working
We are looking for an experienced SAP UK Payroll systems specialist to join our HR Systems team supporting the University’s on-premise SAP Payroll system.
In this technical and varied role, you will deliver high quality system support, leading on configuring and maintaining system structures including payroll schemas, wage types and pensions. Whilst mostly responding to a diverse range of requirements from the Payroll and Pensions Team, you will also work with other colleagues from the People Team, Finance, and external partners. You will ensure all configuration adheres to UK legal requirements from HMRC, as well as GDPR, and you will proactively manage the payroll system annual patching process and test strategy. As part of a business-critical technical team, this is your opportunity to get fully involved with delivering a high-quality and trusted payroll system support service.
About You
You will have sophisticated technical expertise of SAP UK Payroll, both through delivering changes and carrying out support. You will have evidence of a strong understanding of UK Payroll legislation, statutory calculations and HMRC processes as well as excellent general IT.
You work with a high degree of accuracy and with attention to detail. You will be at ease working within a team and demonstrate the flexibility to prioritise and manage a number of operational support activities at a time. You already understand how common payroll and pension business processes work, and you may even have experience of the UK Public Sector.
Experience of integrations from SuccessFactors to on-premise SAP Payroll would be advantageous, as would a basic knowledge of ABAP and debugging.
For details on the experience and skills required, please refer to the job description.
