If so, we want you to join our team as our Employability and Academic Societies Coordinator at City St George’s Students’ Union!
Responsibilities
The Students’ Union is committed to supported student employability through annually delivering 40 in curriculum placement experiences for City St George’s students. You will lead on the development and delivery of future in curriculum placement experiences (e.g. Integrated Learning Placements and Micro-placement projects).
The successful candidate will also be integral for developing our support for academic societies empowering them to build community and engage with employers. This is a unique role that works in partnership with City St George’s Car eers and Employability team to support the delivery of the Union and Universities employability programme.
Person Specification
Utilising your experience of working with and supporting volunteers, you will be responsible for the administration of academic societies. This includes overseeing and enhancing relevant administrative processes. To effectively deliver placement experiences, you'll also have experience of successful project management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the graduate labour market, in particular the relationship between employers’ and universities. This role will involve engaging a wide variety of stakeholders university departments, graduate employers and passionate academic society committee members, excellent communication skills are therefore a must.
