The Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, Faculty of Law is seeking to recruit a part-time HuRiEE Project Officer to directly assist Dr Agnieszka Kubal (Principal Investigator) with the practical organisation of the Project (HuRiEE, funded under the UKRI Horizon Europe Guarantee). The postholder will provide quality advice and coordinated support for the project and will work closely with the project’s Principal Investigator and postdoctoral researchers, to support the effective management, coordination and delivery of the project, in accordance with the Project’s grant agreement.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the postholder will provide financial support for the project, ensuring full compliance with funding body regulations, monitoring expenditure, and processing of expense claims. Other duties will include general support to organise workshops and conferences; coordination of data collection; maintenance of the project website, and general project administration.

The postholder should be qualified to A Level standard or equivalent; have proven experience of research grants administration, or equivalent administrative experience either in or outside the HE sector; highly competent IT user, with experience of the full MS suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to work collaboratively as a part of a team; excellent problem solving abilities and be capable of identifying and addressing prospective and current issues and challenges. The postholder will be based at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies in the Manor Road Building. The Law Faculty supports hybrid working, and after a suitable training and induction period (when more onsite working might be necessary) staff are currently required to be on site at least 40% of their working week. However, given the part-time nature of the role it would be beneficial for the postholder to work at least one day on site, preferably Thursday.

The closing date for applications is midday on Wednesday 11 February 2026. You will be required to complete a short application and upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.
