About Health Sciences University (HSU)

Health Sciences University (HSU) is a specialist health sciences institution shaping a healthier society through excellent education, clinical care and applied research from our campuses in central London and Bournemouth. A values-driven institution, HSU brings together over 2,000 students and 300 staff within a supportive, ambitious and inclusive academic community. Formed following the merger of AECC University College and the University College of Osteopathy in 2024, HSU launched formally in October 2024, with HRH The Princess Royal installed as its inaugural Chancellor.

HSU provides a growing portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes across allied health, leadership and management, health sciences and clinical disciplines. Its CQC-registered clinical and imaging services support approximately 90,000 patient visits per year, underpinning its strong applied and community-focused educational model, and providing an excellent base. Partnership working is at the core of HSU’s identity as an agile, collaborative institution that responds rapidly to workforce, educational and service needs across local, regional, national and international health systems.

About the Health Business School (HBS)

With its main base situated in the heart of London, HSU’s Health Business School builds on more than a century of specialist health education heritage across the founding institutions and represents the University’s strategic commitment to shaping the future leadership, management and transformation capability of the health and care workforce. The School supports and develops current and aspiring healthcare leaders, advancing healthcare management through programmes that blend academic excellence with practical relevance. Our teaching philosophy is built on three guiding principles: compassion, care and competence, shaping an inclusive, people-centred student experience and leadership approach.

HBS courses are designed around employer needs and the evolving global health sector. They are taught by a highly experienced international faculty, educated to PhD/DBA level and drawn from public, private and charitable sectors. Specialisms include global health systems, digital innovation, policymaking, entrepreneurship, compassionate leadership, governance, accounting and finance.

Current provision includes the MSc Global Healthcare Management (London campus), preparing graduates for responsible, sustainable leadership and management in the global healthcare sector.

HBS is also developing its research and knowledge exchange, with planned activity spanning public health, workforce wellbeing, sustainability, and society–environment interactions.

The School has access to a wide network of NHS organisations, local authorities, integrated care systems, international health partners, professional bodies and industry collaborators.
