Job description:
Working Pattern: Full-time (Monday to Friday), working 35 hours per week
We seek to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Technician with a proven track record in working with mammalian animal models as well as histology. You will organise and provide high quality core technical support to staff and students within the School of Medicine and Population Health. You will be responsible for planning and conducting experimental activities with a particular focus on mammalian models of disease, as well as histology research and teaching, contributing to the School's research and teaching objectives and priorities. You will provide general laboratory housekeeping, experimental research and teaching support duties, ensuring good Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times and with a good understanding of legal and ethical considerations. You will be part of a large and dedicated team of core technical staff spread across two Divisions (Clinical Medicine and Neuroscience), working effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision of senior technical colleagues and maintaining workplace organisation.
