This is maternity cover, fixed term for 12 months and is full time for 35 hours/5 days per week

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. LSE is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community in the heart of London, with a diverse staff and student body.
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our friendly high performing team.
As a Research Awards Manager you will work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive and high-quality finance and post award service, supporting our world-renowned Academic Departments, Institutes and Research Centres to deliver cutting edge research and innovation projects. You will be the prime point of contact for research teams, funder organisations and other LSE Professional Services teams to provide an efficient and holistic service. This includes responsibility for grant administration, compliance processes, budget management, organising the payment of funds, signing off expenditure and advising on funder terms and conditions and LSE regulations and procedures.
You should have the ability to work independently and prioritise multiple demands at busy times. You should also be able to work to a high level of accuracy and numeracy, have good Excel skills and have a customer focused approach to work. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of administrative or financial practices, procedures and systems.
