About us
The CRUK Scotland Institute is a cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers. It is one of Europe's leading cancer research centres, supporting cutting-edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development. As well as core support from Cancer Research UK, the Institute also receives an additional third of its total income from external grants and industry collaborations.
Position outline
The Flow Cytometry Core Facility lies at the heart of our cellular analysis. We are looking for a motivated Senior Scientific Officer to join our technical team.
In this role, you aren’t just "running a machine"—you are a vital collaborator. You will provide the high-level technical expertise that allows our researchers to push the boundaries of cancer biology, from high-dimensional immune profiling to complex cell sorting.

The ideal candidate would have some hands-on experience in flow cytometry, the ability to communicate technical details to researchers and will be a proactive problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments.
